The body of a young woman who vanished on Friday while playing the viral mobile game Pokemon Go has been found.
Catherine Stalker, 29, was last seen last seen around 9.30am on Friday playing the game in the Brisbane area. She last made contact with family around 1.30pm.
Her twin sister Fiona made a desperate plea with fellow gamers for information on social media, but on Sunday thanked the public for its support, revealing the mother-of-one had taken her own life.
'Our Cate has been found. She has taken her own life,' Fiona Stalker wrote.
'Thank you to everyone who helped, we feel supported and loved. Please now care for yourself and those around you.'
In a Facebook post on Friday evening, Fiona asked Pokemon Go players in the Brisbane and Gold Coast areas if they saw the trainer.
She also requested help calling hotels in these areas, as she believes her sister may have checked into one on Friday night.
Catherine, who also goes by Cate, was last seen wearing dark jeans and a long sleeved button up flannette shirt, dark with a white check. Her hair is short with a 'purplish' colour through it.
Fiona revealed although her sister had been playing alone, she had 'taken over a gym' in an unknown location within the game, which required her to battle against other players.
It is believed she was driving a yellow 2005 Hyundai Elantra with Queensland registration 306IRN.
